About CLH
The Collaborative Learning Hub is a non-profit organisation officially registered with PACRA. Our main activities focus on "Educational support activities" while we are also approved to offer "Creative, arts and entertainment activities" as well as "Other social work activities without accommodation".

CLH is managed by the three co-directors Subilo Malema, Terry Chipindi and Sibylle Freiermuth.

CLH is currently being self-funded by the founders along with donations from well-wishers. The long term goal is to diversify the funding streams and include projects for income generation that is not dependent on outside donors.
Our Values
At the founding of CLH we agreed on a set of values that guide our actions and decisions. The expectation is that everyone involved with CLH shares these values and acts accordingly.

-
At the Collaborative Learning Hub we take a critical approach to our own perceptions, keeping an open mind and updating our understanding when presented with new, valid and relevant information.
-
We know that we cannot know everything and remain life-long learners. Every person we meet has their own story and presents us with an opportunity to learn from them.
-
We celebrate each other’s successes and support each other’s dreams.
-
We do our best to do things the correct way. We don’t take shortcuts. We focus on quality and we don’t engage in corrupt practices.
-
We are respectful of each other’s time, and make an effort to be punctual and efficient.
-
We communicate clearly and respectfully with each other, are open to feedback, and address concerns head on.

-
We make decisions that are in the best interest of the community without compromising our own safety and wellbeing.
-
We believe that human rights apply to everyone and that all lives are valuable and matter. At the same time we recognize that current systems of power create structural and cultural barriers that mean the lived experience varies greatly for different people. Therefore, we support initiatives highlighting particular groups, including Black Lives Matter, #MeToo, immigrant/refugee groups, and other marginalized communities. We critically evaluate post-colonial/neo-colonial power structures, and work to strengthen local communities.

-
We understand that we are part of something much bigger and that our individual decisions can impact others in unexpected ways. Therefore, we are conscientious in our consumption of material goods, asking:
-
Do we need this?
-
Where is it from?
-
Who produced it & under what conditions was it produced?
-
Where will it end up?
-
-
We reduce, reuse, repair and recycle when possible.
We do our best to do no harm, do good when possible, and to live & enjoy life!
