
Our Team

Subilo Malema
Subilo is a passionate advocate for human rights, who has both a Diploma and a Bachelors Degree in Law. She has worked as Programs Manager at the literacy focused NGO Children Inspired Revolution and as the Loop Project Country Lead focusing on safeguarding, partnership engagement, sensitive case management and stakeholder engagement and mapping among other things. She currently also works with Safety First for Girls as Operations Lead.
She is the Safeguarding Lead at CLH and is making sure that we serve as a role model for other organisations. She also makes sure that CLH meets all ethical and legal best practices in all aspects of management.

Terry Chipindi
Terry is an experienced teacher with strong ties
to the local community in Kabanana. He is an advocate for quality education and as Deputy-Head Teacher & Head of Literacy played an instrumental role in building up a high-quality literacy program at the last school he worked at.
Terry believes in making learning more practical and engaging by introducing innovative methodologies that promote critical thinking. Seeing the gaps in the system and wanting to amplify his impact, Terry is committed to leading the literacy and practical learning initiatives at CLH. He has also taken the lead on the practical running of the CLH in Kabanana.

Sibylle Freiermuth
Sibylle is an experienced educator who has worked on four continents and continues to learn something new every day. For three years she was a co-worker for the Swiss NGO Comundo and worked as a literacy specialist at a community school next to Kabanana.
Together with a team of Zambian teachers, Sibylle developed The Language Market, an English language and literacy curriculum specifically designed for students in Lusaka.
Sibylle has shifted her home base back to Switzerland, but continues playing an active role in CLH. She supports the team in all aspects of management and helps develop the content and methodology for all CLH programs.

While our management team is small, our aim is to work with a wide variety of volunteers, mentors, guests and other collaborators.
