Library

A central piece of the Collaborative Learning Hub is the community library. After replacing the roof, taking down a wall, painting and adding tiles, the library finally opened in July of 2025. The response from the community has been tremendous, with so much interest that we have had to create a schedule to ensure everyone has access at least once a week.

The library has books in English and in local language, and we aim to get as many books by Zambian and African authors as possible. In addition to the reading material there are lots of games and learning activities. As many CLH members are not yet confident readers, the library is paired with our literacy program, which teaches reading and writing to interested members.
